PIN Talk: Speed and improving the safety of vulnerable road users, 11 September, Riga, Latvia / Diskusijas tēma: ātrums un mazaizsargāto ceļu satiksmes dalībnieku drošības uzlabošana, 11. septembris, Rīga, Latvija

This PIN talk was organised together with the Latvian ministry of transport and the Latvian Road Traffic Safety Directorate.

The focus of the event was speed and improving the safety of vulnerable road users. There were presentations from Latvian colleagues at both the ministry of transport and the Road Traffic Safety Directorate describing the road safety situation in Latvia and work that has already been undertaken there to tackle inappropriate speeds and the safety of vulnerable road users.

Invited guests from Greece, Lithuania and France also shared work that they have done nationally to reduce speeds and improve the safety of vulnerable road users.
