Safe and Sober talk: The fight against drink-driving in Greece

In the framework of the Safe and Sober project, the Road Safety Institute Panos Mylonas and the European Transport Safety Council have the pleasure to invite you to an international conference on drink-driving and the use of alcohol interlocks on the 3^rd of November 2025 in Athens.  

Representatives from the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Health, Hellenic Police, Road Safety Institute (RSI) and Road Transport Company S.A.(OSY S.A) will animate the debate. International experts from Belgium and Norway will share their national legislation on alcohol interlocks as an effective tool to reduce the number of alcohol-related road deaths in their own countries, while the commercial use of the device in Sweden will also be presented. The event will also cover an overview of the drink-driving situation in Greece and discuss a potential development of alcohol interlock programmes at national level.
