3 April 2014 – Drink Driving in Italy: Towards Zero Tolerance, Rome

ETSC and ANIA Foundation for Road Safety organised the first SMART (Sober Mobility Across Road Transport) international drink driving conference on 3 April 2014 in Rome.

The event focussed on drink driving issues both at national and EU level to raise awareness on the most effective measures to reduce the number of alcohol-related road deaths. The debate gathered EU representatives, national stakeholders and decision makers together with national ETSC member organisations.

The SMART Project aims to address the main issues related to alcohol and driving and continues ETSC advocacy activities both at EU and Member State level to tackle drink driving and reduce the number of alcohol-related deaths. SMART is supported by The Brewers of Europe.
