Safe and Sober talk: The fight against drink-driving in Portugal

In the framework of the Safe and Sober project, ANSR-Autoridade Nacional de Segurança Rodoviária, PRP- Prevenção Rodoviária Portuguesa and ETSC-European Transport Safety Council will organise an international conference on drink-driving on the 3rd of April 2023 in Lisbon.
Representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Governmental bodies, Traffic Police and local stakeholders will animate the debate. International experts will discuss drink driving issues as well as raising awareness on the impact of Alcohol Interlock technology to help reduce the number of alcohol-related road deaths.
The event will also cover an overview of the drink-driving situation in Portugal as well as case studies from EU member states. A round-table debate will offer participants the opportunity to discuss with relevant stakeholders and exchange on a potential introduction of alcohol interlocks at national level.
