The legal blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level was lowered from 0.8 to 0.5g/l. At the same time, the level for novice and professional drivers was set at 0.2g/l.

Enforcement
Luxemburg collect national data only on the number of alcohol-related offences treated by the police in which the driver was found above the legal limit.
1034 drivers were caught while driving above the legal limit in 2020, compared to 1606 in 2019.
