Czechia

Czechia’s road safety performance has shown significant improvement over the last decade, with a 29% reduction in road deaths since 2012, surpassing the EU average. National authorities are actively supporting road safety initiatives and have planned new legislative acts to enhance the situation on Czech roads. Political support and society’s willingness to adhere to the new rules will be crucial in further strengthening road safety in Czechia.

Despite the positive progress, road mortality in Czechia remains slightly above the EU average, highlighting the need for additional measures to address road safety challenges. With clear objectives and challenges to tackle, Czechia eagerly joins the new phase of the EURSE project.
