Bulgaria workshop – 9 December 2020
The third online EU Road Safety Exchange workshop brought together experts from Austria and Bulgaria. They exchanged knowledge and good practice on the topics of safe road infrastructure, particularly road safety management procedures, safety standards of designing and operating motorways and the road surface management.
Co-organised together with the Bulgarian State Agency for Road Safety, with the participation of representatives from all the relevant authorities including the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, Road Infrastructure Agency and the State Agency, the meeting provided a space for meaningful exchanges.
Experts from the Austrian Federal Ministry for Mobility and ASFINAG, the Austrian motorway operator, shared good practice from Austria and engaged in a lively discussion with the Bulgarian colleagues.
The workshop will be followed by a study visit to Austria in 2021.
