15-16 September – International Cycling Safety Conference, Hannover
The International Cycling Safety Conference (ICSC) developed to a premium forum for researchers and development engineers in the field of cycling safety to exchange their knowledge, to extent their network and to bring up new research topics and safety solutions. This conference started as a Dutch initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment, TNO, Fietsberaad (Dutch center of expertise on bicycle policy), SWOV and Delft University of Technology and this year the Hannover Medical School will host the conference for Germany. The 2015 Conference in Hannover will be the fourth event in an annual sequence. For the last Conferences a significant increase of the number of delegates from different fields of engineers, medical and psychological scientists, governmental officers and cycle associations was observed. The Conferences are organised in a way to facilitate the interaction between the participants and to support exchanges of information. All conference papers are publicly available at the conference web-sites.
